After a year of working in a company in the United Arab Emirates, you should take an annual vacation for one month. Most of the companies are granting annual leave with pay and not only that if you are luckier enough you will get a return plane ticket.

A lot of the benefits of annual vacations that you could have, it can make you relax, create quality time with the family and friends and time to release the stress from heavy task loads.

My plan for the vacation is from our country the Philippines, we want to go first to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and then Singapore and then head back to the Philippines.

My Sons and my Brother and I were excited because that was our first time to tour in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

So, here we go let me show the places where we spent our vacation in Malaysia.

1. Book in A BEST Seri Bukit Ceylon Serviced Residence

Around four months before we had started our tour I booked a hotel in A BEST Seri Bukit Ceylon Serviced Residence. I planned to book a hotel in advance so that there will be no problem finding a hotel if you will find upon arrival and you could save money as well than booking on the date near to the schedule of the tour. I like the location of the hotel because it is just a walking distance from Petronas Twin Towers, SURIA KLCC Mall, Pavilion KL and KL Menara. We had spent 3 nights in that hotel and we had a nice stay and a good experience.

2. The Petronas Towers

I planned to first reach the Petronas Towers or Petronas Twin Towers. We just walked from our hotel to reach the renowned building. The 88-Storey Skyscraper became famous until 2004 because it was known as the tallest building in the world at that time, beyond 2004, it was surpassed by Taipei 101 and later in 2010 the Taipei 101 was surpassed by Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The 58 meter-long double-decker sky bridge was built in level 42nd floor.

At the foot of the Petronas Twin Towers is the Suria KLCC, a shopping mall. Behind the mall is the KLCC Park, where you can roam around and enjoy the elegant views of the Park. At night, you can witness the dancing fountain with colorful lights. You can try to swim in the swimming pool at the heart of the Park too.

3. The Batu Caves

Batu Caves was our second destination, it is approximately 11 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur, it was around 40 minutes travel by taxi to reach the cave from the Petronas Twin Tower. For our convenience, we hired a taxi so that we’ll not waste our time coming back to the city waiting for another taxi. We just paid around 150 RM including an hour of waiting.

The cave is the most known tourist attraction in Malaysia. It is believed the cave is 400 million years old.

4. The Putrajaya Tour

Our last day (Day 3) in Kuala Lumpur was amusing because we went to Putrajaya and we amazed the extraordinary beauty of the place. Putrajaya is a new city in which the administrative center of Malaysia is found, it is about 25 kilometers south of Kuala Lumpur. We went through the Putra Bridge going to Putra Mosque and Putra Perdana (Prime Minister’s Office).

After Putra Perdana, we went to Putra Mosque (Pink Mosque). Just approximately 100 meters away left of Putra Perdana.

From our hotel, we hired a taxi going to KL Sentral. KL Sentral is the train stations, it is the starting point going to Putrajaya. We bought the tickets there for KLIA transit. After traveling for about 25 minutes, we passed 1 station before we reached Putrajaya & Cyberjaya station. Then we went to the taxi station on the ground and bought the taxi ticket for Putrajaya island where most of the tourists are coming in. There are more nice places in Putrajaya but we don’t have much time to roam around, maybe in the next vacation.
